Dr. Kim received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at Cornell University in 1969.
Her postdoctoral study at Massachusetts Institute of Technology involved the
structure
determination of transfer RNA. After a brief interruption of her career,
she joined
the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1978.
