Henry Miziorko

Mizioko Dr. Miziorko obtained his Doctorate degree in biochemistry in 1974 at the University of Pennsylvania. His postdoctoral work was performed at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the biological chemistry department. Since joining the Medical College of Wisconsin faculty in 1977, he has continued research on mechanistic aspects of enzymology, investigating both animal and plant systems. Dr. Miziorko has served on or has been chairman of several national research review panels and has been a National Institutes of Health Research Career Development Awardee as well as a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In connection with the latter award, he was a visiting professor at the Max-Planck Institut fur Experimentale Medizin (Gottingen, FRG) in 1983. Dr. Miziorko has received the NIH Merit Award, designed to provide a few outstanding investigators with the opportunity for long-term stable support to enhance their continued scientific creativity.
