Dr. Twining received her Doctorate degree in Physiological Chemistry from Ohio
State University in 1976. From 1976 to 1980, she did postdoctoral work at the
Mayo Clinic in immunochemistry and at the Medical College of Wisconsin in
proteinase activation. She joined the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin
in 1980.
